Thrifted Outfit Thursday - Corduroy Edition
A cute, comfortable, ready-to-wear Fall outfit. Perfect for weekends, it can be accessorized as much as needed. Teal tee under a burnt orange corduroy button down, paired with a bootcut dark denim. The teal complements the orange and vice versa. They make one another pop more than they would on their own. They're a lovely example of contrast and a fun, bright, Fall pairing.
The dark denim is still technically blue, but bordering on black. Also, what this picture doesn't reflect is that this pair of jeans might be the softest pair of jeans in the whole world. There's a little bit of stretch, which is important when you have *ahem* a rear like mine. But there is absolutely no stiffness in this denim whatsoever, they move with me which I love.
I'm a sucker for button detail and this corduroy shirt has it! Pearl snap buttons make it a little more fun than traditional buttons, plus I love the 3-button cuff. Like the jeans - this corduroy is also super soft! And since Fall weather can be 34 degrees in the morning and 65 in the sun come mid-afternoon; this shirt can easily be layered, under or over, and isn't bulky under a jacket or coat.
The scarf is totally not thrifted, but a fun accessory. The grey is neutral enough to make the other colors do all the work while adding in another element of texture. Plus it's Fall - who doesn't love scarves?!
